Leaky Gut Test

Why are medical conditions such as leaky gut, adrenal fatigue and candidiasis ignored in modern medicine?

I’m curious to know why testable, proven conditions such as these and others are still not generally recognised by your average GP and health service?

Surely the proof is in the pudding, with consistent tests and treatments typically working quite well to improve the health of many sufferers.

Could it be a matter of funding? i.e. the cost of food intolerance test, adrenal fatigue tests etc. Or simply people still don’t believe?

Fortunately there are people out there that can help, but for the knowledge not to be common place makes it a very difficult journey, often of self diagnosis and treatment.

thoughts?

Would you like to explain how you differentiate adrenal fatigue from hypoadrenalism, the latter being widely accepted? Would you like to explain the symptomology of both and then to consider the wide range of differential diagnoses also explainable by those symptoms? Do you think there may be any signs as well as symptoms to consider?

Regarding candida, it is very common for doctors to diagnose either oral or genital candida. Now, widespread internal candida, such as oesophageal candida or generalised candidiasis may also be diagnosed- but is most usually indicative of a serious underlying immunideficiency such as AIDS, high dose chemotherapy or widespread malignancy. There are those who seem to want a diagnosis of candida without any signs of it, they generally pronounce it “candeeeda” and have never managed to explain its existance to me or explain how it differs from the widely accepted forms of candida described.

There is a very big difference between presenting your symptoms to a doctor seeking a differential diagnosis and presenting a diagnosis to a doctor seeking to convince them that you have it.

Sorry, I don’t mean to be harsh against you, but I think these issues are really important. Not least because there is a lot of money to be made by charlatans who claim to accept these and other conditions and will take your money for a ‘cure’, without any regard to the wide range of diagnoses that could actually be ignored as a result.

Doctors traditionally prescribe a pill for every ill. But for most people, these single solutions don’t work. The truth is, most chronic health problems, including stubborn weight gain, unbeatable fatigue, intestinal distress, high blood pressure, creeping cholesterol, and high blood sugar, are not found in simply one organ, but in several parts of the body (often times in twos and threes).
